Radu at Tetraeder in Bottrop, Germany

About

So today a well deserved break from the rain arrived and I and some friends made a short hiking trip to Bottrop. On the way back we noticed this huge steel structure from the highway and decided to check it out. I was actually the only person who had not yet visited the structure and walked up the stairs. It was a fine day but very windy up the top. Radu (centre) managed to get himself into the middle of the best photo I took that day. Thanks for driving us all there and back Radu mate.

Bottrop Tetraeder (aka Haldenereignis Emscherblick) is a walkable steel structure located in Bottrop, Germany. It sits on top of the mine dump Halde Beckstraße and serves as the town's landmark. It was opened on German Unity Day 3 October 1995.
