Outside the Taj Mahal, Uttar Pradesh, India
                            About
Since I am flying home from Delhi, I decided to squeeze in a short trip to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal and the surrounding sights. It was a bit stressful getting there and due to the horrendous traffic I arrived quite late on Thursday afternoon. I even changed hotels last minute to buy some more time incase the queue to get inside was bad. Luckily it all worked out and I was able to make it for the last two hours. On Fridays it is closed to tourists, something I only found out a week before!
This photo was taken by my unofficial guide Baba. He claimed he was an official guide but later got thrown out by security :) Afterwards I spotted him near a cafe and bought him a Masala Chai as he looked a bit down. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the building and was happy to answer all my questions. I think he was just a genuine guy trying to make a living off tourism.
