Red Austin Healey 3000, Western Park, Sheffield

About

This afternoon I saw this beautiful Austin Healey 3000 MK III on display outside Western Park museum in Sheffield. The car was on display as part of the Mayfare event which included a few other classic cars, a beer tent and a fun fair.

It was a hot and sunny afternoon and this car was gleaming in the sunlight. It looked as fresh and tidy as the day it left the factory sometime during the 1960's. It was great to see one of the 'Big Healey' models for a change as an alternative to the cheaper frog eye sprites you see knocking around at these kind of events.

I remember building a blue/cream model of this car when I was a kid with my dad and it stood on my shelf for years to come. It's probably in my parents loft now though with a good ten years of dust on it.
