Moeraki Boulders, Otago, New Zealand

About

So on my second day in New Zealand we drove from Asburton to Dunedin. A great stop on the way was Koekohe Beach, on the Otago coast where you can see the Moeraki Boulders. The group of boulders in the photo as you can see are unusually large and spherical and pull in tourists from all over the place. There is also a cafe nearby so if you are ever nearby I recommend a pop down to the shore to see for yourself. The large boulders are obviously a result of wave erosion and material build up on the beach but there is also a weird Kiwi legend about them too. I know who I believe!
