I lived across from the old Phoneix Cinema on Upper Brown Street, Leicester in my second year at De Montfort University and then even went to work their for 6 months 2 years later. Although my time at the Phoenix was short I was fortunate to work with some great staff and meet some wonderful people just in time before they moved to their new venue Phoenix Square in Leicester's Cultural Quarter. I have been to the new Upper Brown Street (old Phoenix renamed) now owned by Leicester College though and it still has the same great atmosphere!
